The Oowees release party was great. They played a long set including all four songs off "The Oowee Beat". Also I got the new Crypt record, scanned it and put it on the site. Only a thumb as of yet. More and larger scanns coming up. Happy new year.

I'm up and kicking with a new central processing unit. The old one was a P4 clocked from 1,6 to 2,0. The new one is a P4 clocked from 2,0 to 2,5. What a rush!

FB mixed up the information. The release party is at Hawk. The Oowees will play St. Croix huset early 2005 though. Yesterday Esben and I worked on what is to be Moonshine's debut release. It's a 7" vinyl single with one song on each side. You can have some more information on that in january. I also did some MD to CD transferring for Pablo Pækkis who now has moved out of Farmannsgate 1 back to Moss.

Here's an Oowees article in FB 's internet edition focusing on "The Oowee Beat". It states that the release party will take place at St. Croix huset 30-12. Nice. I was at Månen Musikkselskab's excellent x-mas party [julebord] on friday and missed out on the Crypt concert yet again. I haven't received volume 11 yet, but it was handed out on friday as planned.

Yes. The Oowees' debut single "The Oowee Beat" is out now on Sneakers Records. It arrived tuesday and I went to Glenn's tattoo shop where I picked up six copies. There will be a release party in december or january. The location will probably be Dis. The sleeve was done by Glenn and the mastering was done by me as previously reported. You can buy the release here at Focus Studios for 60 nkr. It spins at 45 rpm and goes by the catalogue number SNEAK 18. This is a black vinyl release with two songs on each side. The music is somewhere between power pop and fuzz pop. It was pressed at Gramofonove Zavody. For scans and even more details check it in the discography. The band playing The Crypt today is Freezepop.

I just got off the phone with Esben. Here's the scoop: Some synth bands are playing Dis Café friday 03-12-2004. Come early to get Vol. 10 for free. Moods [folks from Lust'O'Rama] and The Rokys are playing Dis Café friday 17-12-2004 at the Roky Erickson tribute. This I do not want to miss. Come see me in the bar, slightly drunk. Come early to get Vol. 11 for free. Then in the new year there will be three Crypt shows at St. Croix huset including bands like The Oowees, Squareheads and Backstreet Girls.

There's a concert at Hawk this friday. I've made some flyers and posters and I'm helping out with some stuff. The bands are Malossi and Occupy. The artwork is in the same style as the forthcoming full length. They printed some A4 and A5 posters as well. They are out now on a wall near you.

I've recorded the Moonshine, Bronson Comet Lighter and Girl From Saskatoon concerts. There was no third band playing on MIR. We sold some records and video-taped the event and stuff. Harald Are Lund played a couple of tracks off the new Bronson Recordings releases thursday 16-09-2004 on P3, FM. Not on the thursday before as reported earlier. Here is the playlist. Kjell and I will continue work on the Occupy sleeve on thursday. The next Crypt promo, Volume 10, will probably be a synth volume.

I've mastered a church concert recording of Ivan Sarajishvili playing Det store Marcussen orgelet in Vår Frues Kirke, Copenhagen, Denmark. He's performing works by Johann S. Bach and Julius Reubke. It's a private job for Lars Emil Andreasen, so you cannot hear it, but Ivan is working on a new record and I will keep you updated. Occupy are finished recording and are now mixing their album. We have done some more work on the sleeve.

I've done a sleeve sketch for an Occupy cd album that is currently being recorded by Kællen at his studio. Several very talented artists have now established their own studios here in Farmannsgate 1. They are Knut Ole Ringstad, Pablo Pækkis, Ivan Syversen and DJ Kiss. Welcome! We have a couple of rooms still available. Let me know if you are interested. We are planning a giga-byte network.

I have a new Stone Innovation production out: Pondus Prange. This is a comic magazine by Bjørn Normann Gundersen, Master Graphic. Peru You will be using my Yamaha PSR-27 keyboard, that I played on "Grand Mal Story" on their concert at Dis Café tomorrow. I will be there enjoying the show and perhaps shooting some photographs. Hans have played some concerts with KP in Oslo.

Esben and I have transferred four demo tapes, Hærverk, Seppo Goes To Holocaust, Stroyers and BDP, from mc to cd for a punk compilation that's being compiled in Halden. You can hear DJ Freakout at Dis Café tonight somewhere between 22:00 and 02:00. There are supposed to be four Crypt dj's playing. Esben will be playing off the Crypt giveaways. The next Crypt concerts are Teddy Trigger and Smaltown Ramblers, Friday 17-09-2004. Volume 8 will be given away to the first visitors. Volume 8 will not be compiled by Esben and I, but we will be back on Volume 9, due out friday 15-10-2004 at Dis Café as always with Brimstone +1 on the stage.

I [MC Peko] will be a dj [playing cd's and mp3's] at a party at FORK [Fredrikstad og Onsøy Rocke Klubb] this saturday [24-11-2004]. Someone else is playing guitar and singing. He and I will take turns playing. Fredrikstad og Onsøy Rocke Klubb is that place on Mosseveien that used to be Chopper Freaks. To the left is a photo I took there. I've also moved my drum-kit to FORK and I was just there to try the Denon DN-2600F player. They have a nice setup and I'll practice more on the DN-2600F later in the week. I better make some playlists. Let's see... I could play... stoner? death and doom? polar? lo-fi? dream-pop? Upgraded Winamp to 5.03. See software.

I was at Peru You's "Heartships & Shipwrecks" release-party at Mono in Oslo on Sunday. Christian put my name +1 on the guest list. Everything was lined up for a perfect evening. The place was completely crowded with people and the band played a full concert and sounded great as always. I don't think they played the cd. Perhaps they forgot to? I didn't hear it anyway. I shot around 60 photographs using my HP Photosmart 850. You'll see some of them here at flamencopeko.net soonish. In the middle of the show the band introduced the crowd to the album's collaborators, myself included. I mixed and played some keyboard on track 8. I was called to the stage and was given a bottle of mighty fine whiskey. Ole said something like 'Ole Morten, MC Peko, Fredrikstads svar på Speedy Gonzales, kom til scenen'. The cover charge was 50 nkr. Peru You sold all their releases at a table and people were buying. Other celebs in audience included Aleksander Kloster-Jensen, Natalie, Morten Svanæs, Terje Royter and Fredrik Solberg. The band's previous releases have gotten some pretty great reviews and it shall be exciting to see how well their new album is received. I'll have some copies at my studio so you can drop by and buy it if you'd like to. Thanks to Ivan for lending me his 128 MB SD card, to Morten for letting me sleep over in his apartment, to Rune for giving me a ride from Fredrikstad to Oslo, to Fredrik for giving me a ride back home and to Terje for photo assistance. "The Crypt Vol. 4" is finished Esben Roos and I compiled it here at my place as usual. I got 400,- kr for the job. "The Crypt Vol. 4 - Punk For Faen" has 30 tracks. Two local bands are included, namely The Retards and Porno In Gambia. Hans Petter plays on these two cuts. As we've come to expect there is some nudity on the sleeve.
