Thursday 15-12-2005 Three new 300 MB Maxtor ATA/133 hard-drives have been installed. This takes me well beyond the magical terabyte in total disk place. With this my backups are up to date. Finally some peace of mind. New power supplies are on their way. I'm tidying up the building's power circuits. |

Thursday 08-12-2005 My NextGenTel Bravo subscription is now called ADSL Classic and runs on the increased download speed of 3500. Upload speed stays put at 600. Other studio upgrades include new speaker-cables, blue cold cathode lights in the computers and Firefox 1.5. |

Monday 28-11-2005 Invested in a couple of new Morgan guitars. One white CG-10DLXVW classical with nylon strings and one black WG05BLK with metal strings. As usual many thanks to Georgi D. gitarer for customization and nice price. Also we did a photo session in front of the silver wall outside the cinema for a school project for Linda Edvardsen with her as the photographer, me as the model and Knut as the reflector. This session will continue on sunday. |

Monday 31-10-2005 I'm happy to announce that the first issue of a new magazine I'm making is now out. I've done 10 test prints here in my own studio and the digital version is available free right here, right now. Its name... Østen Posten. I'll make at least 90 more copies as soon as I get some money from advertisers. |

Tuesday 13-09-2005 This sentence was written in and uploaded with Macromedia Dreamweaver 8, part of the new suite Studio 8. I'm now testing NextGenTel's Nextreme 24, giving me the speeds 8032 Kbps down and 864 Kbps up. I'm writing a book called "The Science Of BPM" and shopping the manuscript around to publishers. It seems to end up at around 100 A4 pages, including illustrations and all. I've managed to save up a little money to have the broken equipment repaired at Fredrikstad Lydservice. |

Monday 25-07-2005 Today I helped my dad install his new Pentium 4 computer and I got his old Pentium 3. I'll use a couple of the components like the USB 2.0 card and the chordless keyboard and mouse. And Knut can probably use some of the stuff on his Pentium 3. |

Friday 15-07-2005 Invested in a new 300 GB hard-drive with 16 MB cache. It is now up and running in my secondary computer. In total disc space this brings me 60 GB short of the magical 1 TB. Gave my old Pentium 3 to Knut. |

Wednesday 22-06-2005 I've been quite sick lately so I had to mix the Månefestivalen warm-ups play-lists at home, and then Knut delivered them to Dean. Today I have installed Linux on my PC3. This is a first for me. The distro I use is called Ubuntu. I'm mostly at home working on some cover songs. |

Wednesday 01-06-2005 The Månefestivalen warm-ups at Dean Bar are tomorrow thursday 02-08-2005 and thursday 09-08-2005. Doors open 20:00. Måne music will be played from 22:00 - 02:00. The Norwegian text on the flyer says: Dean Bar inviterer til en flott sjanse til å bli bedre kjent med musikken til artistene som spiller på årets Månefestival. Vi varmer opp til festivalen med å spille skiver med artistene som kommer torsdag 02-06-2005 og torsdag 09-06-2005. Dørene åpner 20:00. Måne-musikk spilles fra 22:00 til 02:00. |

Sunday 15-05-2005 We began making the Månefestivalen camp on friday. On saturday there was a records sale [in Norwegian: platemesse] at Dis. I was supposed to be selling some stuff, but I didn't show up because I was too exhausted. Both "Mythical Moments EP" and "The Oowee Beat" singles were on the flyer and poster. My secondary computer died after I gave it some bad RAM. It used to be a Pentium 3 650 mhz with 96 MB RAM, 10 MB network card and a no-name graphics card. After a lot of work it is now a Pentium 4 1,7 ghz with 256 MB RAM, 100 MB network card and Creative nVIDIA GeForce 3 Ti 500 graphics card. I had to change the power supply and tower as well. Thanks to Thomas Ellingsen and Joakim Aasum for helping med out with hardware and support. |

Wednesday 27-04-2005 We have collected all the Bronson Recordings releases. The old masters are lost, so we had to do some vinyl ripping. Don't expect an official compilation anytime soon. Total playing time for all eight releases is 89:33. Total playing time for the four Comet Lighter releases is 52:02. Total playing time for the other four releases is 37:31. Again, since I've used a turntable here these numbers are somewhat approximate. Today would have been Morten's birthday. We love you man. And we miss you. |

Tuesday 12-04-2005 There's an article about "Mythical Moments EP" and vinyl in general in today's paper edition of FB. It's on the front of part 2, known as Speilet, and there's a small notice on the front of part 1 as well. It's in colour. Nice. They didn't use my photos, but the one by Mr. Johansen looks good too. As usual there are some errors. 1 -The band is called The Hidden Sect, not The Hidden Sect Project. 2 - The interviewee is called Esben, not Espen. 3 - There are 220 copies, not 300. Buy it while you can. There is also an online version of the article and a small notice on the front-page and on the kultur page. A small scan is now up on the "Mythical Moments EP" page. Saturday 19-03-2005 I just went to Glenn's tattoo shop to pay up for some "The Oowee Beat" singles. The shop was closed, so I called him up. The Oowees have recorded three new songs. I will do the mastering again. Also they are playing at a birthday this evening, doing a lot of covers, including some Misfits tunes. It's a closed event, but I asked Glenn to get me inside as a photographer or something. I just love the Misfits you know. I was told the new tunes are going on a promo thing. I saw a poster for "The Oowee Beat" on the wall and asked to get a copy. I'll upload it for you as soon as possible. Oowee! |

Thursday 10-03-2005 The eight Dead Cool release The Hidden Sect - "Mythical Moments EP" is out now on 7" black vinyl. You can buy it for 60 nkr. I did mastering, graphics, photo and some recording and mixing. The Obscuro record is getting around. For instance Christofer Schou aka. DJ Super 60 gave both sides a spin on Dis on saturday. Hardware page is upgraded and updated. Hans and Morten are rehearsing with a band called Mahatma Ganja in Oslo. Hans is working at Dagbladet and studying at UIO. Morten is working at Web Som Virker. |

Saturday 29-01-2005 I've been at St. Croix huset where I helped unload some flights for the Crypt concert taking place this evening. The bill is The Carburetors, The Oowees, Heaven Eleven and Squareheads. The show starts at 21:00 and ends 01:00. There will be served beer and wine. Cover charge: 100 nkr. I look forward to this. Bring your friends. Occupy are now Krampuz. They have invested around 2000 nkr. in new skins on my drum kit. |

Tuesday 04-01-2005 The artwork for the forthcoming Occupy album is just about finished. Vocalist Viggo has left the band and have been replaced by Mikael. They are also probably changing the name of the band. Because of this there will only be 100 copies made instead of the originally planned 500. No matter what happens I will get paid [750 nkr. this weekend]. Due to the enormous amount of spam I receive [thousands every day] we had to change some things around here. You can no longer use all those cool addresses such as remix@..., links@..., icons@..., mastering@... and mcpeko@... that I used to have around on the various pages. Instead you can now only reach me at ole@... There was a neat The Oowees report from the release party in FB yesterday. |
