3:27 Hans, Marianne, Morten and myself is here. We're going to town to drink alcohol. I'm finally getting some audio software on my computer, and learning how to use it. We'll probably be using a lot software from Steinberg. I got Wavelab 1.6 from Morten today. And we use Cubasis a lot in Beta el division. I hope to make some tunes at home untill we get the playing room at the studio ready. (Twice as big.) Cleaned up the site quite a bit. All headings are new. Navigation is almost complete. Norwegian record company Krank is planning a compilation. Hmm... Happy new year.

Was in Good Old Days and talked to Morten [Kvart Musikk] earlier today. They are selling Sanger Fra St.Croix. He listened to our rack and described it as Roxy Music and Sabbath inspired! National Rap Show on P3 announced that they are playing the Pacifist demo early next year. Knut came back yesterday. He's here right now. Gave him a Sanger Fra St.Croix CD.

Thursday 11-12-1997
The first Flamenco release ever happend today, as Sanger Fra St.Croix was released. Lots of teenage trash bands at the release party. Everything that could be misspelled about us o the record was. The layout and the whole feel of this CD is terrible. A couple of seconds was edited at the end of our contribution and so on... Still, we are now recording artists! I talked for a while with the people at Viking Media. They asked us to be on their next record. Nothing has been heard from the recordinng of The Overcoat. I would really like to walk around in some movies. Got two nice pictures today from Lindas photo session last Monday.

The release party is 18:00 hours tomorrow. Hans has a new song on a Hammond. We tried it out earlier today. The Pacifist demo will possibly be aired on National Rap Show on P3 this Friday. Linda took some b/w photos of Hans and me yesterday. I'm doing some real updates to the site, such as the navigation. I also bought two effects of Sebastian this weekend. Stereo chorus and bass EQ.

"Horror Movie / Deep Green Woods" will be released Wednesday next week, on that compilation CD from Viking Media. It's very sad that these people didn't inform the artists on anything, between recording and release, and also the fact that they named the CD Sanger Fra St.Croix! there is a small release party in Cafeen at St. Croix Huset. Knut sent another mail. Passifist has finnished the demo they did at Beta el division, including the song Ole Vs. Pascifist. That song has U-båt (Stian neple) rhyme about me, as well as a drum loop sample from Sick Inside, as recorded by the Flamenco Peko. I heard the finnished mix for the first time at a pub Thursday night. Their demo will be aired on the national radio station P3 soon. Ole Anders Olsen is doing an interview with Morten and myself for his fanzine. He'll give us the questions on a disk, then we can express ourselves as we want to in English. There will be an acompagning photo session afterwards. Pen Lyd Studios are coming alive. I listen to the beat and bass tracks Stian has recorded for us. I like it. Now he has also added keys. I'm trying to come up with some lyrics and such. The update entries are now devided into years. By the way a happy new one, and a wonderfull Christmas too. My working colegue Sebastian and I, will try to colaborate on some new music in his rehearsal studios soon.

I watched a movie called The Shag, with Marianne, earlier today, which inspired me to write 1963 South Carolina. The good people at Fix want to host this page for free. That means more Mb's. A '...has moved to..' mention will be left behind here when it's done.

Did some site updates. Removed some old lyrics to songs that we're not going to use, replaced that Real Audio image with a tape image, etc. I also bought a so called Ekkofon from Ekkofonkompagniet, to record phone conversations with. It uses some kind of tape cartridges with 60 secounds on them!! If it will work properly I plan to record my calls and use some of them an a CD.

Got some pictures from the recording of Horror Movie. Hans has recorded an instrumental called Song For A Walking Man. We have rehearsed it together at Beta el division and I'm going play bass on it. To be recorded next week.

Hans, Marianne and myself were at Kjell's place where Marie played a tape of Blue As You for us. Fantastic! Incredibly sounding, very short and fantastic arangement. That one is on the single for sure. Marianne also brought me Cat Power's What Would The Comunity Think CD from Oslo. That sounded good as well. Then I purchased some grey A4's for the single insert. So now you know.

Morten just called me and said that Marie had finished recording Blue As You. She did that by her self. Morten is supposed to be here now with a copy, along with some photos, at last, from our recording session in Oslo. We also took some pictures of ourselves last Thursday with a beauty of a camera that Morten borrowed from that computer store he work in. It is a digital, film/photo, PC connectable thing.

Added a couple of new pictures of Kjell's new band Jessica's Garden, that Linda Edvardsen (who shot our first photos, then with Kjell) took outside their rehearsal place. They are playing tonight at St.Croix Huset, where I have started to work in the Network department.

Pacifist have been working on that song with my beat for a couple of days. They rhyme a bit about me. That recording will be available here in real audio and details.
The video for Still Alive will feature Hans and Ole only. It will be one of those old orange b/w TVs showing us rehearsing in the playing room at Beta el division, with some candles. Then I'll draw some lightnings and stuff on top of that.
I'm starting to work at St.Croix tomorrow. I'll have a ISDN all day and plenty of time to update frequently.

Hans, Morten and myself were in Beta el division today, along with Pacifist who finished mixing one of their tunes. We recorded the beat for Sick Inside. Pacifist also recorded this beat with altered speed and reverb, for one of their tunes. Then Hans and I started on a new tune I have called Still Alive. It will be on the single, and have a video.

Finally wrote a new song some days back. It's called Sick Inside. I wrote it on the keyboard I got from Marianne. So I will record both keys and beat from it.
A rap band called Pacifist is recording in Morten's studio right now, so I'm going there to help out in an hour or so.

Morten has bought a 8 track mixing desk for 6500,- Nkr. Him and me are doing some work later today. He is also bying a PC sound card soon. We will then use a PC instead of the Silicon Graphix O2, and it will be much easier for me to understand the software, operative system, etc. That will also give me the opertunity to mix at home!

I have not had a monitor for about 10 days, that's why there hasn't been any updates untill now.
Marie has quit the band, which was kinda expected. She will at least be recording some vocals though.
Knut is leaving (for Praha) in three days.
We have recorded Knut on bass for Hurt Back. I'm practicing the drum track. It's very fast for us.
Spoke with Blazer yesterday. Stian will be recording the song he is giving us, when their new studio is done. It's called Pen Lyd Studios. They will possibly also get a web page at some point.

I've been given a Yamaha keyboard by my girlfriend, Marianne. That will be of good use, as we're using more keyboard nowadays.
Morten and I recorded a yet untitled song last Tuesday. I'm writing lyrics for it.
Knut is leaving for Praha, where he will be staying for three months. I'll ad some e-mails from him, to the page when I get some.
We have ofcourse also redone that fuzz track for Secret Love, AND real audio encoded it so you can listen to it.

Recorded Marie's bass and vocal for Secret Love yesterday.
Something terrible has happened. The fuzz guitar track for Secret Love has been destroyed. Also Morten has deleted the complete recording of Said And Alive. I could not sleep much tonight, and if something like this ever happens again, I'm through with music. I sure don't look forward to rerecording that song. It was so beautifull.

The strangest sounds were picked up last night, as we recorded two new tunes instantly written under the inspireation of the wierd happenings. Me and Morten also recorded a couple of jams with a friend - Ragner Berglund, that we will try to piece together to a short song.
Kjell and Marie also returned from the US last night.
I'm writing a new song called All Is Gone.

Knut, Morten and myself recorded Said And Alive, last night. It's very different. It has the usual guitar, bass, drums and vocals, but also bass, melody and beat from a keyboard. We will finish it tonight. Knut has purchased a theremin, which we have not used yet. We also recorded Never There, which turned out terribly bad, and will have to be rerecorded.
I also finally got me an internet account yesterday. This page will therefore be moved soon. My new e-mail adress is olems@fredrikstad.mail.telia.com.

Morten, Knut and myself just recorded Secret Love. We saved vocal and bass for Marie to do, when she returns. Clocking in on 2:32 made it far too long for Secret Single, so it will be a saver.

Wrote a new tune, some days ago, called Hurt Back.
Finally got me a Real Audio encoder, and added Horror Movie.
Morten and I are hard at work with the studio.
Marie and Kjell are in the USA, on summer vacation, and shooting some film for Flamenco video use.
I have suggested Fredrikstad Pop as a title for the compilation. There will be a meeting soon, I might get to have something to with it, like helping with the layout.

Video Verkstedet is interested in doing also our next video. Someone at a photography store thought it was so cool that we used super8, that he gave Morten a free new tape. The one we had started filming with was supposed to be used before 1987, so that can make some strange pictures if it's possible to get something out of it.
Stian Neple from Blazer is recording bass and drums tracks for a song he is going to give us. We'll put guitar and vocal on it and release it only on this site.
Have a new song for Secret Single called Secret Love.

Just got back from Oslo. Horror Movie recording went well. Details on songs page. Very gloomy. Morten was with us and took some photographs and film. We're moving our equipment to Morten's studio today, to record a lot, for the two singles, etc.

We're booked in Gordon Lydstudio, Oslo - at 17:00 this Friday. It's an analog 24 track place. Three of the bands that are going to be on this compilation have recorded so far. Someone named Tomas is recording.

Wrote a new song, Today, and recorded a guitar track in .wav format. Planing to put out a lot of home recordings, and find some appropriate software.
Finally added a couple of live pictures, as well as something we made.

We have rehearsed a bit. It's coming out quite nice. Knut play keyboard on a couple of songs, including a My Bloody Valentine cover called Don't Ask Why. I'm curently reading all I can find about this band, to get the lyrics right, etc. This is the very first cover we do, that I've ever been satisfied with.
This piece may, or may not, be Flamenco releated, but Motorpsycho-people Deathprod and Kim Hjortnes are putting together 10 10"es with one band on each. Motorpsycho will be one, Soul-Jaze from Blazer/Penjakke (who told me this yesterday) will be another, and POSSIBLY Flamenco Peko will also be one! Plans are also to make a box set of all these 10" records!!! Kim Hjortnes will make the graphix, I asume.
Soul-Jaze (aka Jonas Bjerketvedt) is also helping us to make some promo copies of our video (Which will be finished when St. Croix get their new hard disk recorder. We decided to wait for that!) much cheaper than anyone else could. Thanx and respect! The promo cover will arrive soon, with more stills and the video in a computer format.
I finally now have a tele line on my room at my parrents' house, and tomorrow I'm bying a copy machine. Then within a month ,or so, I will have a good computer and my own internet account. This page will then move, but that should improve things A LOT.
At 21:00 today I'm seeing Trude Næss to get the one and only picture from our concert at Whalestock Saturday, 05-08-1995. I have not seen it to this date. It will be a lovely adition to the pictures page.
That was quit a bit of information, because I have not written any update in a while. That is because I have been hard at work with my Kiss page.

Marie and myself are going to Oslo to record for that compilation cd soon. I got a call today. We will use Horror Movie for that one.
The split is planned for a Sept./Oct. release in 200 ex coloured. We also want to do a release party with Flamenco and Bronson in concert. It will be released on Fuzz Pop, because their label - Bronson Recordings - only have instrumental releases. The title will be Twise As Much Depth. Bronson's tune is called Modulation Depth.

Got a letter from St. Croix today regarding a compilation cd that we will be on. All the bands for this compilation will be recording in Gordon Lydstudio in Oslo. That will cost us 500 kr. I really don't like to work in studios, except our own home studio, but we want to get something out, so we will.

The video turned out great. Very (early) Pink Floyd at times. Saved some real good still photos. They will be added sooner than the video clip. I also recorded an hour of random noise from the cutting process of the video. The song bacwards, forewards, incredibly fast, incredibly slow, etc. We still have to do some finishing touches to this video clip, like adding some drawings. Then you can watch it online.
Jon Manstad [B.C.L.] has asked me if we would back him on a new tape from the j-Foundation, a while ago! If this happens I will make a section for it here on the Flamenco Peko homepage - sound clips, graphics, ordering information, etc.

I'm taking a break from editing [the video] right now. It will be finished later today. Bye the way it looks like the band is splitting. I will still keep this page up. Flamenco Peko will probably be more of a solo project from now on. Sad. We're not playing at the St.Croix festival, but Secret Single is still happening.

The video will be mixed on Tuesday.
We will play at St.Croix Festivalen on Saturday 26-04-1997, together with 4 other bands. There will also be 5 bands on Friday. Some of the bands are The Rockawaves, Bronson Comet Lighter, Underdose and Tranceplants. I'm making a poster. We'll play about 10 songs. Hopefully a guy named Jørgen will play the drums.
We'll have some friends with us on Secret Single, including people from Bronson Comet Lighter and Blazer.
A new song is : That's OK. It's about my girlfriend Maria Keller.

Talked to the people putting the compilation (with I Kissed You Hello) cd together, because I have to do some finishing touches to our layout for the booklet, like changing our name. Also got some details : It will be double. The price will be 97 kr. It will be pressed in 1200 ex. There will be a release party, probably including premiere showing of our video. The title is 10 Minutter Fra Greåker.

The concert went ok. This was the set:

We where the first band to play. Some Toto like orchestra won the contest. We did recieve much great responce though. It's exactly one year since our last gig! Linda took about 18 color photos. The last band of the evening was a four girl band who has been rehearsing at our place up untill this concert. They will probably open some concerts for us later this year. This is the line-up : Linda, Lotte, Birte and Marita. Also thanx to the sound tech, Kællen, who really made us feel at home.
The video is supposed to begin on Monday.
We're thinking about changing our name to Flamenco Peko [my sugestion].

Morten got that cd recorder and put the song on a cd, so I'll finally put out the first Stanley The Parrot song on the internet.
I made my first .gif animation (at the bottom of the page) some days ago. I love it. We'll use it at the start of the video.
We'll attend NM I Rock 03-05-1997 at St.Croix. Fredrikstad.

Our technichian Morten is setting up a small recording studio. He will get a cd recorder next week. We have a lot of songs to record.
Another small record company named Dead Cool, run by friends of ours, also liked our song, and we may release a 7" on that label.

Just some minutes ago I talked to a guy named Morten who has a small record company called Kvarts Musikk. He had listened to I Kissed.. and liked it a lot so we might be included on some compilations or something on that label.
The Showcase concert is 14-03-1997 on Oscar II, Fredrikstad. We'll play these four songs : 1 I Kissed You Hello 2 Ride With The Mob 3 Soul-Bottom 4 I Don't care.
We're auditioning drummers, but there's not too many steady, creative, commited and good drummers in this town. Any one truly talented reading this?!
I wrote a song yesterday called Watch Out.

We have recorded I Kissed You Hello which turned out cool. But we're using it on another compilation CD, which will be a double and sold for only 50 NKR!! A guy named Morten Svanæs gave us a lot of help recording, and we plan do work with him in the future. I did the layout for our page in the booklet myself. That along with soundclip will be here shortly, long befor the release.
We will record another song for that other one.
There will be a concert in Feb/Mar at a contest called Showcase. 3 or 4 songs.
Our drummer will be leaving after that, to play guitar in another band. We need a new one.
